About
Jordan, The Crêperie’s proud owner, began planning the restaurant of her dreams in 2020 after her daughter, Evelyn, was born. She attended culinary school and had worked in the restaurant and catering industry for 15+ years before striking out on her own. Jordan was making charcuterie to-go boxes from home to earn extra income while staying home with Evelyn. As the charcuterie business grew, so did the ideas, and the passion to achieve a dream.
A serendipitous meeting between Jordan and the Phagan family provided a perfect opportunity. Jeff and Peggy Phagan own the long-standing, successful Gallery 115 in downtown Madison. This 1840’s historic shotgun building has been the home of Peggy’s vintage home-goods storefront, and her son’s Eric Phagan Art, for 10+ years. Nestled in the back of Gallery 115 is a charming cafe where you can find The Crêperie.
In Jordan’s words: “It’s a stunning business partnership. The gallery is filled with Eric’s art, which adds to the enchanting atmosphere. When you walk in the door, there’s classical French music playing on a vintage speaker in the loft, where there’s more art and additional seating that just adds to the dining experience. I had a vision for how I wanted the restaurant to feel when you walked in - vintage teapots, mix-matched dinnerware, fresh florals on every table, art! Employees in black chef coats handing out French-style crepes and house-made charcuterie boards, French music playing in the background. All of this became a reality, and the Gallery couldn’t be a better setting. It honestly feels like you’re suddenly stepping into Paris."
At The Crêperie, we’re all about connection, and believe in the power of the table. A delightful atmosphere, exceptional customer service, and a quality meal can bring people together and provide them with a significantly memorable experience. Our passion is to make people feel that every time they walk through our doors.
